Joby Burgess and Cambridge Music Festival are delighted to announce A Percussionist's Songbook: a collection of nine brand new ‘songs without words’ for pitched percussion and electronics, inspired by short stories, pop songs and folklore.
These texts range from the poetry of Robert Graves and Birago Diop to novels by Michael Ondaatje and Issac Asimov; American philosopher Michael Sandel, songwriter Peter Gabriel, United Nation population growth statistics and Saudi Arabian folk tales.
